LedgR Texts for Android.
LedgR Texts logs your calls and texts with clients from your Android phone onto each client’s page, in the background. Only conversations with your clients leave the phone; everything else stays on it.

What Android will show
Android asks a few things before it installs an app that doesn’t come from Google Play. Each is expected; here is what to tap.
Chrome says this about every app that doesn’t come from Google Play. LedgR Texts comes from LedgR directly, so this is expected.
Android asks once before Chrome may install an app. You can turn this back off when you’re done.
Turn on Allow from this source, then go back. Only Chrome gets this, and only for apps you choose.
This is Android confirming the app you chose. Nothing is installed until you tap Install.
Play Protect is wary of any app from outside Google Play that reads texts. The Install anyway button hides under More details. (If it asks to send the app for a security check instead, Don’t send is fine.)
LedgR Texts reads texts only to find the ones with your clients. Nothing else leaves the phone.
Calls are logged the same way: only calls with clients, and only who, when and how long.
LedgR Texts now files your calls and texts with clients, in the background.
- Tap Download anyway
- Tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, then go back
- Tap Install
- If Play Protect blocks it, tap the small arrow by More details, then Install anyway
- Open LedgR Texts, sign in, turn it on in Settings, then tap Allow twice
What it reads, and what it sends
Your call log (the number, when, how long, and which way) and your text messages (SMS). LedgR sends the phone your firm’s client numbers only in scrambled form; the phone checks each call and text against them and sends LedgR only the ones with a client. A text’s words are read only once its number has matched a client. Group texts and picture messages (MMS) are left out.
When
The past year first, then about every 15 minutes in the background, and whenever you open the app. Nothing on the phone is changed, sent or deleted.
Turning it off
In the app: Settings, This phone, Turn off. Or take away its permissions in Android’s settings, or uninstall it. LedgR stops at once; what’s already on client pages stays, as part of your firm’s records.
Why not Google Play?
Google Play lets a CRM read the call log but not text messages, so the LedgR app on Google Play logs calls only. LedgR Texts is the same app with texts, installed from here instead.
